This story was definitely worth 5 amazing stars !! This is the second book of the Thin Red Line Books, although this book can be read as a stand alone Beautiful Masterpiece
( Book 1 ) is a must read.
This story follows Avery and Evan, both have troubled broken pasts and with both working for the FBI and their dedication to the job leaves no room for romance.
Avery and Evan meet during a disturbing case and lust at first sight shocked them both !! Avery lost her mum at the early age of 9 and this has shaped who she is now. All she has ever wanted was to follow in her fathers footsteps and progress her career. Avery has built up so many walls to protect herself from any hurt or loss any man who tries to break them down isnt going to have an easy ride !! Well known for being a bad ass Avery could look after herself and her hard core exterior is all most people ever see. She is completely thrown by the feelings she had when she first met Evan !! She has never felt her body reacting to him the way it does !!
Evan's past has made him the hardworking man he is and no woman has ever been able to measure up and understand his love for his job. Meeting Avery has thrown him off kilter, from that first meeting on the case to kicking his ass in the ring he cant get her out of his mind. He has gone from never thinking he wasn't the settling down type to wanting everything from her
As they work closely trying to catch the murderers of a cult their relationship although very rocky and unpredictable got very hot !! when Evan makes the decision to keep a secret from Avery he risks loosing her for good just when he thought he had her for life !
This story is jam packed with drama,loss, crime, romance and some very hot moments !! The mix was exactly right and I couldn't put this book down.I laughed and cried through this book it pulls at your heart strings so tissues at the ready !! I absolutely loved Avery and Evans story and their personalities made you love them both for different reasons and you cant help but hope everything works out for them, you also see Madison and Scott's relationship build from Book 1. Gen Ryan was a new author for me a I wasn't disappointed.
