SECOND CHANCE BOYFRIEND REVIEW

After reading "One Week Girlfriend" I became obsessed, wanting more, so of course I did the next best thing, Stalked Monica Murphy on every social networking site. It could not be helped I fell in Love with fable and drew and was staved.

OH.MY.GOD when I finally got what I was so desperately seeking into my greedy little hands (well IPad). I dropped everything and I mean everything and totally submerge myself in the wonderful world of Fable and drew. (My husband received no dinner) but it was so worth the hassle he gave me.

Monica has hit a home run with "Second Chance Boyfriend" it was FUN, EXCITING, SEXY, INTRIGUING AND A SOURCE OF ENLIGHTENMENT this was the book that kept on giving.

I LOVED everything about this book, from its unconventional storyline/subject matter to the Characters. I am not going to discuss the storyline in detail, If you want to find out what happens you are going to have to buy the book.
I do however want to share  what I loved so much about this book.       (prepare for a ramble)

DREW (Hero):

Drew is your typical Hero in some ways but completely opposite in the same breath.
yes he is a hotter than sin Alpha, jealous, and possessive of his girl. He has issues but not the I'm mad at the world kind.(thank God)
Drew Callaghan is an actual good guy, broken by evens beyond his control. He is incredibly sweet, weak of mind and afraid but we get to see him work through his problems and developing into the man he was destined to be. He has real depth behind the pretty external, a true gentleman with a great amount of love to give.

Fable (heroine):

This is a REAL mother effing girl, not some fragile (well she is a little) innocent, little goody two shoes virgin. absolutely not. Fable is just like a regular girl that makes mistakes, struggle with life and have insecurities that we all can relate to.
Her strength is aww inspiring; she was has a good for nothing mother who could not care any less about her or her little brother. she has taken on the role of care giver to Owen working dead end jobs in-order to put food in his mouth and keep a roof over his head.
fable is extremely mature for her 20 years.
Despite her own problems she valiantly took on Drew's also, aiding him with support and unconditional love providing a revenue for him to heal and face his demons head on , instead of running away. (this girl has a serious case of Hero complex)

Plot and Subject Matter:

Fable is seen as a Bad girl with an equally bad reputation...so who who believe that she would end up rescuing the clean cut, shy, gentle young man that is Drew Callaghan college football star.
And then he rescuers her right back, Romantic init (British slang for isn't it)

Did I mention how HOT this book is? NO, how could I not it was SMOCKING  Drew and Fable could not keep their hands object off each other, the intimate scenes were exceedingly well written  they had me fanning myself.
it was incredible to see Fable open drew up sexually, normally its the other way round but this was so much better (I think I might be a Feminist)

onto a more important point I wanted to make; ( rant coming now)

The subject matter dealt with in this book is a sensitive one and not often talked about or understood.
until I read OWG/ SCB I did not understand the effects such happenings could have on males.
I am ashamed to say when someone close to me divulged something similar but no were as servare. I laughed and made a crude remark.
I am so thankful to Monica for opening my eyes to the true devastation and life long problems things like this can cause to a man.
I never taught it was the same for men as it is for women, especially when its the opposite sex.
I have apologised to that person and explained my lack of understanding until OWB. I felt terrible; my reaction was insensitive, their experience might not have affected his life because he was too young to understand at the time and it was not continuous but that does not give me the right to make what happened to them less significant or laugh.
So a massive thank you Monica Murphy for enlightening me. I can be a real Jerk sometimes. (rant over)

SUMMARY:

SWEET, SEXY, HOT, PASSION, REAL, WELL DEVELOPED, AND WONDERFULLY WRITTEN. this book is five stars hands down even without my new found knowledge I would have still given it five stars the extra information was a bonus.
the secondary characters are all fantastic can't wait to have their story. I don't think I have conveyed just how awesome this book is the writing was flawless and beautiful each word leaping off the page like poetic music to my ears.

I highly recommend this book a defiantly must read, if you have not read One Week Girlfriend then I also recommend you read before reading Second Chance Boyfriend.
